1. What we collect
Account & identity: your name, business or organisation name, email address, phone number and (for public figures) your title and public profile details.
Billing: payment card details are collected and stored by our payment processor (Paystack); we never see or store your full card number. We keep only the last four digits and expiry for reference.
Onboarding content: everything you tell us to build your site — your story, services, products, achievements, photos, logos, and any domain name preferences.
Technical: basic usage data (pages visited, device type) needed to keep the platform secure and reliable.
2. How we use your data
To build, host, secure and maintain your website and domain.
To process your subscription payments, renewals and (on the Online Store plan) to settle sales to your wallet and bank account.
To communicate with you: build progress, launch details, renewal reminders, service notices and support.
To improve the platform. We never sell your personal data to anyone.
3. What we publish
Only the content you explicitly provide for your website is published on it. Your contact details appear on your site as you configured them during onboarding. We do not publish your private billing information anywhere.
Domain registration requires your registrant details (name and address) to be filed with the domain registry as required by law — this is standard for all domain owners.
4. Payments and the Online Store plan
Buyer payments on your store are processed by Paystack under Paystack's own terms and privacy policy. As the store owner you are the data controller for your customers' order information; you must handle it responsibly and in line with Nigerian data protection law.
We process the minimum data needed to route settlement to your wallet and bank account.
5. How long we keep data
We keep your account, site content and transaction history while your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards to honour renewals, legal obligations and your request to restore a paused site. You can request deletion of your account data at any time by contacting us.
6. Your rights
Under the Nigerian Data Protection Act you have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Email hello@orisun.site and we will respond within 30 days.
7. Security
Sites are served over HTTPS with valid SSL certificates. Access to customer data is restricted to authorised personnel. While no system is perfectly secure, we apply industry-standard safeguards appropriate to the data we hold.
8. Cookies
Our platform uses only essential cookies needed for login and security on the customer dashboard. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on customer sites.
